Characteristics

  • General: Circular shape with continous grained edge.
  • Obverse: Circular rim without beading. In the center, over the field, Simón Bolívar in civil dress with a rolled sheet in his left hand. In the background, a book cabinet. Surrounding the field, the legend "BICENTENARIO DEL NACIMIENTO DEL LIBERTADOR SIMON BOLIVAR" and "1783-1983".
  • Reverse: Circular rim without beading. In the center, over the field, front of the native house of The Liberator. Surrounding the field, the legend "BANCO CENTRAL DE VENEZUELA" «Central Bank of Venezuela», the metallic millesimal fineness "LEY 900", the weight "31,10 gms" and the face value "100 BOLIVARES".
